I was born with the gift of the gab, so a career in Broadcast Journalism was always my childhood dream.
After studying French at Somerville College, Oxford, where I edited the Oxford Student newspaper and worked on the University’s Altered Radio, I managed to get a week’s work experience at the BBC in Wiltshire in 2003 - which proved to be the start of a happy seven-year relationship with the station.
On gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Cardiff University in 2005, I freelanced as a reporter and producer on a range of radio stations.
I joined the staff at BBC Wiltshire in March 2006 - where I held a number of key roles including Producer of the Breakfast and Drivetime shows, with additional on-air roles presenting and newsreading.
In 2010, I left the BBC to move to London and start a new career in Public Relations. I currently work in the Press Office at the British Council - working to enhance and protect the reputation of an organisation that builds trust and opportunity for the UK around the world.

In my spare time, I'm crazy about music, modern art, and all sorts of exotic food, amongst many other things.
I love to travel whenever I get the chance, and one of the biggest perks of my degree course was spending a year in the city of Pau in south-west France, waking up to a stunning view of the Pyrenees every morning.
In total contrast to the laid back way of life in that part of the world, another of my favourite places is New York, which I love for its excitement, energy and colour.
And let's not forget London. It's one of the most amazing cities in the world, and moving here is one of the best things I've ever done.
